W dniu 17 wrześnie br. firma CodeGear, znana z takich produktów jak Delphi, zaprezentowała IDE, służące do pracy nad projektami Ruby i Ruby On Rails. Nowy produkt nosi nazwę 3rdRail i jest już w sprzedaży po promocyjnej cenie 299$
3rdRail jest zbudowany na odchudzonej wersji środowiska Eclipse, dlatego powinny w nim działać pluginy tegoż środowiska. Obecnie zostały przygotowane wersje na najbardziej popularne systemy operacyjne: Windows, Linux i Mac OS X.
